We have selected these spices and blended them in our Baharat seasoning for a perfect middle eastern flavor. We have adjusted the heat so that everybody can enjoy the dish.

Recipe - Baharat-Spiced Chicken Skewers with Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons The Essence - Baharat Spice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together The Essence - Baharat Spice, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  2. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat in the spice mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 24 hours) to allow the flavors to meld.

  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
